So after leaving school, I attended South Manchester College, where I successfully completed a three-year course in Horticulture and Turf Management. Upon graduation, I was appointed First Assistant Manager at Wilmslow Golf Club, an Open Qualifying venue, at the age of 21.
Building on this early achievement, I progressed to the role of Course Manager at Knutsford Golf Club at the age of 26, a position I held for 15 years.
During this period, I developed extensive expertise in landscape management, turf maintenance, project delivery, and team leadership, overseeing the ongoing development and upkeep of a highly regarded golf course.
Ten years ago, I founded PJW Landscapes to apply my knowledge and experience across a broader range of projects while providing high-quality landscaping services directly to clients. Since its establishment, the business has grown steadily and earned a strong reputation for craftsmanship, attention to detail, and outstanding customer service.
A significant milestone for the company came in 2023 when PJW Landscapes was selected to construct a show garden at the RHS Tatton Flower Show, where we were honoured with a Silver-Gilt Medal. Following this success, we were invited to return in 2024 to build another garden as part of the RHS show’s 25th anniversary celebrations, further demonstrating the quality of our work and reinforcing our reputation within the industry.
